A Charles X period mother-of-pearl ball book engraved "Souvenir" in a Restoration decoration of palmettes and inlaid in its center with an enamelled medallion of a pansy flower. The gilded bronze mount chased with flowers and feulliage. The spandrels decorated with vases and garlands of flowers. It closes with a pencil stylus that slides in a spring-like sheath. The interior is lined with red silk and reveals a notebook and a week book. 19th century, probably a work of the Royal Palace. 7 X 5cm Acc to the mother of pearl
