Each volume slips into its muted cardboard cover. The first two volumes are printed on Van Gelder Zonen laid paper, so that the pontuseaux are in a horizontal position, the third volume on paper from the same manufacturer, but this time the pontuseaux are vertical. The titles in red and the typographical ornamentation are identical in all three volumes. A small finial on the title pages depicts a faun milking a goat. There are copies with engravings, but these are not, nor are the corresponding copies described by Pia. Some foxing on the first and last pages of the first volume, as well as on its edges, rare for the other two volumes. (Dutel, 796; Pia, p.692-693).
